RM of Wood Creek’s story
The Rural Municipality of Wood Creek No. 281 was incorporated as a rural municipality on December 13, 1909. It lies in the south-central part of Saskatchewan, next to Last Mountain Lake.
The village of Simpson sits within the RM's boundaries, and the RM office is located there. The locality of Amazon is also found within the municipality.
Today the RM is run by an elected council and an appointed administrator, who meet on the second Thursday of every month.
